By default, production changes, quality dispositions, risk assessment edits, stock adjustments and deletes wait in the Approvals queue. Everyday writes, like a new task, run at once.
Who can approve
Managers and admins by default, and any role you give the approve permission. After seven days a request can no longer be approved.
Runs as the requester
On approval, Bulk re-checks the requester's permissions and makes the change as them. History keeps each outcome with any note the reviewer left.
You choose what waits
One switch for production changes, one for deletes and other guarded changes. An admin can turn either off, and those changes then run at once.

Connect ChatGPT, Codex or Claude Code, person by person.
An admin turns MCP on and picks which clients may connect. ChatGPT users sign in with Bulk. Codex and Claude Code users create a personal key, shown once and stored only as a hash, that they can revoke at any time.
New permissions need a new key. A key keeps the permissions you had when you made it. ChatGPT signs in with Bulk, so it picks up changes at once.
Admins can revoke anyone's. Every active connection in the company is listed. Revoke one and that client's next call is refused.
Every run is logged. Each call an agent runs is recorded, including ones held for approval. Sign-ins and revocations go to the audit trail.

What is Bulk's MCP server?
A hosted Model Context Protocol server that lets ChatGPT, Codex or Claude Code read and update your Bulk records through tools, as the person who connected them. It stays off until an admin turns it on.
Which AI tools can connect?
ChatGPT connects by signing in with your Bulk account. Codex and Claude Code connect with a personal key, and both are allowed by default once MCP is on. Other MCP clients can connect if they can reach a remote HTTP server and send a personal key as a bearer header, and an admin has allowed compatible clients.
Who in our team can connect an AI client?
People whose role includes using MCP: Super user, Entity admin and Manager by default. You can add it to any other role, such as a planner or quality lead. By default, only Super users and Entity admins can turn MCP on, choose the clients and areas, and change the approval settings.
Where does our data go when ChatGPT or Claude Code reads it?
Tool results go to the AI client you connected, and on to its provider, under your own account and terms with that provider. Bulk decides what is returned: only records the connected person may see, at their sites, in areas the admin has left on. What the provider keeps is set by your agreement with them, not by Bulk.
Can we turn off specific tools?
Not one at a time. Admins switch whole areas off for every agent, such as People or Settings, and the Tools table then marks each tool in that area as unavailable. In the areas left on, each tool follows the connected person's own permissions.
Does Bulk have its own built-in AI assistant?
Yes. Hugo is the assistant built into Bulk's task, KPI, teamboard and risk assessment pages. It drafts tasks, KPIs and risk control measures for you to review and apply, and adds charts to teamboards you're allowed to edit. It is available to roles with the chat permission (Super user, Entity admin and Manager by default) and runs on Google Gemini through Vertex AI's global endpoint, so processing is not pinned to your hosting country.
